Description

With the ticket, you can travel on the boats on Lake Zurich between Zurich Bürkliplatz and Erlenbach (east bank) or Thalwil (west bank). You can start and end your short round trip at any of the following stops as you wish.

  • Zurich Bürkliplatz
  • Zurich Wollishofen
  • Kilchberg ZH
  • Rüschlikon
  • Thalwil
  • Erlenbach ZH
  • Küsnacht ZH
  • Küsnacht Heslibach
  • Zurichhorn

If you stay on the boat without disembarking, the round trip takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Since this ticket is valid for 24 hours, you can also use it for other journeys with public transport within ZVV zones 110, 140, and 150. This includes buses and trains.

On the onboard restaurant, you have the option to purchase food and beverages.

  • Suitable for: wheelchair users, strollers, dogs (over 30 cm with a second-class ticket for dogs)
  • Bicycle transport is not guaranteed (a bicycle ticket is required)

Swiss Activities Tip

Küsnacht is a small village on the lower right shore of Lake Zurich. In Küsnacht you will find the Küsnacht Gorge with the Dragon Cave. It is part of the Pfannenstiel mountain range and a site of fossil finds. A footpath leads through this popular excursion destination to the mouth of the village stream into Lake Zurich. Two large boulders are called Dragon Head and Alexander Stone. By the way, Tina Turner, who passed away in May 2023, lived in Küsnacht for ten years.

Traveling with a wheelchair

All passenger ships on Lake Zurich are wheelchair accessible.

  • Travel in a wheelchair in second class (MS Panta Rhei also available in first class)
  • Wheelchair width must not exceed 80 cm
  • MS Bachtel does not have wheelchair-accessible toilets
  • Staff assist during boarding at all docks if needed
