Ticket large tour of Sasso San Gottardo

You visit the exhibitions at Sasso San Gottardo without a guide. These include the following exhibitions:

• Permanent exhibition "Goethe on the Gotthard"
• Gotthard watershed light show
• Crystal cavern with resting gallery
• Chamber of Wonders
• Gotthard myth
• Energy cavern

You then take the Metro del Sasso into the interior of the mountain. You will also have to walk along a slightly ascending, long connecting tunnel. In total, you will cover around 2 km on foot.

The historic fortress contains the following stages:

• troop accommodation
• fire control center
• Ammunition magazine
• General Guisan exhibition
• Cold War exhibition
• Gun 1 and 2
• machine gun stand
• Panoramic terrace

You will find the main entrance to Sasso San Gottardo on the Gotthard Pass. It is about 300 m from the hotels/restaurants at the top of the pass. The exhibition sector is located about 300 m deep in the mountain.

Practical information:

• It is recommended to use the cantonal road from Flüelen to Göschenen (not the highway).
• Parking spaces directly in front of the main entrance
• Public transport: Postbus stop Gotthard Passhöhe, 300 m on foot to the main entrance
• Photography is permitted
• Wheelchairs can be borrowed (only partial access with wheelchair)

• Children up to and including the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult
• Dress: warm clothing and closed shoes (exhibition rooms 14 to 18 °C, historic fortress approx. 6 °C)
• You walk about 2 km inside the mountain (slightly uphill).
