Tapas tour in Zermatt

Zermatt has something for every visitor. This naturally includes an exceptional food scene with many exciting restaurants and bars. On this Tapas Tour, discover the rich culinary world of Zermatt by visiting four restaurants and bars.

During the Tapas Tour, you and your group will explore Zermatt's excellent gastronomy. This includes everything from vegetarian dishes to alcoholic drinks. At each location, you'll receive a tapa and a matching drink. Vegetarian/vegan options or non-alcoholic drinks are also available on request.

This route description will guide you simply and safely to the various locations. Make sure to have this document with you throughout the entire tour. If you have any questions, the hosts at the restaurants will be happy to help you.

1. Tapas stop: Q-Stall, Alpine Hotel Perren | 19:00 – 19:45 You can reach Alpine Hotel Perren from Zermatt station via Getwingstrasse (parallel to the Gornergratbahn tracks). After crossing the Getwing bridge, turn right onto Vispastrasse. After about 50 meters, you will arrive at Hotel Perren. Please check in at the Barrique restaurant.

2. Tapas stop: Cheminée-Bar, Hotel Pollux | 19:50 – 20:35 After leaving Alpine Hotel Perren, turn left and follow Vispastrasse to the next bridge (Zum Steg). Cross the bridge, then veer slightly right onto Hofmattstrasse until you reach Bahnhofstrasse. After 250 meters, you will see Hotel Pollux directly opposite.

3. Tapas stop: Marie’s Deli, Hotel Mirabeau | 20:40 – 21:25 When leaving Hotel Pollux, turn left and follow Bahnhofstrasse towards the station. Continue straight past the station for about 160 meters, then turn right. After 50 meters, you will find Marie’s Deli on the right.

4. Stop: Bazaar, Hotel Cervo | 21:35 – 22:30 After leaving Hotel Mirabeau, turn right and follow the road to the river. Cross the bridge and immediately turn right after it. Walk another 250 meters. On the left, you will see the valley station of the Sunnegga funicular. To the right of the main entrance, there is a keypad. Enter the code you received at Hotel Mirabeau here (or alternatively, you can request it by phone from Hotel Cervo: +41 27 968 12 12). Then enter the tunnel and take the branch left at the end. There you will see the lift that will take you up to Hotel Cervo.

The entire route is approximately 1.3 kilometres long and takes roughly 15 minutes on foot. Please note that Zermatt is a car-free village, and all routes must be covered on foot. If you wish to take an electric taxi, the restaurant hosts can assist you. Taxi rides are not included in the price and must be paid for by the participants themselves.
