Ski school for beginners incl. lunch on the Riffelberg

This course is suitable for children aged between 4 and 16 in the Blue Levels of the Swiss Snow League. Professional instructors, a great atmosphere, lots of fun and a fantastic winter landscape in the ski area in front of the Matterhorn are guaranteed. Please remember to provide your child with warm clothing, ski equipment and a valid ski pass.

Program Blue League

• The group meets every day at 08:45 at the tourist office at Zermatt station.
• The children's train departs for Riffelberg at 09:12.
• Between 09:45 and 15:00 your child will be taught by a professional ski instructor. At midday there is a one-hour break including lunch and supervision in the Riffelberg mountain restaurant with reserved seating.
• At 15:45 the children's train arrives back in the village at Zermatt station.
• It is possible to pick up the child at the Riffelberg train station at 15:00.
• The ski race with prize-giving ceremony takes place on the Riffelberg every Friday.

Practical information:

• Ski clothing and equipment can be rented in Zermatt

Blue Prince/Princess:

• Suitable for children from 5 to approx. 12 years of age
• Information about the equipment
• Climbing with stairs and shear step
• Gliding and braking in a plow
• Skiing in parallel ski position with transfers and tricks
• Plow turns

Blue King/Queen:

• Suitable for children from 5 to approx. 12 years of age
• Information on the safe use of transportation equipment
• Inclined driving and tricks
• Side slides
• Parallel riding on simple waves and jumps
• Plow turns on a simple blue slope

Blue Star:

• Suitable for children from 5 to approx. 12 years of age
• Information about behavior on slopes (FIS rules)
• Swinging in the mini pole forest and course
• Wave and trough skiing
• Switch skiing in V-position with change of direction
• Plow turns on a varied blue slope
