Swiss Activities Tip

The mountain lakes of Liapey are located about 1300 m above sea level within a federal hunting ban area. The two connected lakes in the valley of Derborence together with the pine forest surrounding them form a nature reserve. The lakes were formed at the end of the 18th century after a landslide of Les Diablerets to the north.

The natural paradise is accessible only by an adventurous road and is idyllically situated in a valley basin. It is a quiet and popular hiking area.
