Description
At the Spiez Castle Museum, you explore the history of a Bernese Oberland castle high above Lake Thun. In the historic rooms, you follow the transformation from medieval fortress to the stately residence of prominent noble families. You meet figures like Heinrich von Strättligen, Adrian von Bubenberg, and Franz Ludwig von Erlach and gain insight into their daily lives.
Interactive stations, 3D viewers, and staged rooms bring the past world to life in a vivid and tangible way. As you climb the tower, you’ll be rewarded with wide views over Lake Thun, vineyards, and the surrounding mountain landscape.
