Description
You take a boat trip across Lake Maggiore between Ascona and the Brissago Islands. You get off there and explore the islands before heading back to Ascona.

The Brissago Islands are also divided into Isola Grande and Isola Piccola. The botanical garden on Isola Grande is definitely worth a visit. Alongside Mediterranean plants, you'll also find subtropical species here. Thanks to the particularly mild climate around Lake Maggiore, various themed areas have been created. These represent vegetation from the southeastern coasts of Australia, the Cape region of South Africa, and central Chile, for example.
