Important information
- The Bättmerhitta is only accessible on foot via the official winter hiking trail, around 45 minutes’ walk from Bettmeralp or Fiescheralp
- Travel by ski is not permitted; the pistes are closed to pedestrians in the evening and at night
- Snowshoe hike: a good level of fitness is required; the route climbs around 300 metres and takes about 1.5 hours to walk
- Snowshoe hike: you must bring your own snowshoes and hiking poles
- Minimum age for the snowshoe hike: 10
- Bring a warm softshell or fleece jacket, gloves, a hat, suitable footwear, a small snack and a drink
- The activity only takes place if enough people have booked
