Description
You will be given a private tour of the Macardo distillery in Amlikon near Frauenfeld. The Macardo distillery is one of the most modern distilleries in Switzerland and has an innovative barrel warehouse. At the distillery, you will learn how the premium spirits are made from regional products. You can watch how distillation is carried out using a wood fire.
The barrels in the barrel warehouse are made from a specific type of wood and are stored in a selected microclimate. Here you can also find out why sustainability is so important for the distillery.
At the end of the tour, you will take part in a tasting session and sample three of the distillery's products.
Swiss Activities Tip
In the Macardo distillery you will also find an honesty bar with smoker lounge for a stylish end to the tour. All the fine distillates from the Macardo distillery are on sale in the walk-in store.
