Description
Discover this guided tour from Geneva offering stunning views of Switzerland, the Alps, and Lake Geneva. Travel comfortably by coach from Geneva through the picturesque landscapes of the Canton of Vaud to Vevey, where you will visit Chaplin's World—an attraction dedicated to Charlie Chaplin. Embark on an extraordinary journey through time and the magical world of cinema. Prepare to be immersed in the sets of his greatest films in our Hollywood-style studio, one of the surprises of 20th-century art.
Next, you'll visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Lavaux, also called the "Wine Route." Take a break in the middle of the vineyards to taste local products such as cheese, wine, or grape juice.
Just before lunch, enjoy a walking tour through Vevey, home to Nestlé's headquarters, the covered market, and some free time for your meal. In the afternoon, board the vintage steamship "Belle Epoque" and cruise across Lake Geneva. The destination is Chillon Castle, the most visited historic site in Switzerland from the 11th century.
Chillon Castle is beautifully situated on a small island at the western end of Lake Geneva, between Montreux and Villeneuve. This romantic fortress was historically of strategic importance for controlling trade in the Lake Geneva region.
Your final stop is Montreux. Feel the atmosphere created by the great artists who have visited the town, including Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, B.B. King, Ray Charles, and many others. The city’s landmark is the statue of Freddie Mercury, who said, "If you want peace for your soul, you should come to Montreux." This artist, who lived in Montreux for several years, recorded his last album with Queen, "Made in Heaven," at Mountain Studio in Montreux Casino. You will have the opportunity to visit Queen’s old recording studio. Stroll through the streets full of fashionable shops and iconic sites from the famous jazz festival before the bus takes you back to Geneva.
