From Lugano: Private day trip to Como and Milan

Your driver will pick you up in Lugano. Soon after, the route takes you over Monte Ceneri towards Italy. Once you cross the border, the landscape noticeably changes: olive trees, colourful houses, and a southern vibe accompany you all the way to Como.

In Como, you'll experience the elegant charm of Lake Como. At Piazza Cavour, the old town opens directly onto the water, with cafés and promenades inviting you to linger. Near Como Cathedral, you'll admire impressive architecture spanning several centuries. If time allows, it's worth taking the funicular to Brunate for wide-ranging views over the lake and the Alps.

Next, you'll head to Milan. At Piazza del Duomo stands the famous cathedral with its countless towers and statues. From the rooftop terraces, you get sweeping views over the city. Just next door is Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, featuring stylish shops, historic cafés, and its distinctive glass dome.

Afterwards, you can walk on to La Scala or visit Castello Sforzesco. The Brera district, with its chic cafés, or the Navigli area with its typical aperitivo atmosphere offer great options for ending your day in Milan.

In the late afternoon, you'll take a relaxed drive back to Lugano. This day trip perfectly combines Italian city life, well-known sights, and the unique charm of Lake Como all in one day.
