Swiss Activity Tip
If you plan to spend more time around Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, visiting the St. Beatus Caves is definitely worth it. Head off on an adventure in the region's mountainsides. The famous dripstone caves are best explored with a guided tour, but you can also discover certain parts of the caves on your own.
Traveling by wheelchair
- The motor ship (MS) Interlaken is not wheelchair accessible.
- All other ships on Lake Brienz feature wheelchair-accessible main decks including accessible toilets.
- The docks are designed to be barrier-free.
Out and about with the dog
- Bringing small dogs up to 30 cm is free if they remain in a carrier for the entire trip.
- Dogs without a carrier and all dogs from 30 cm shoulder height require a valid dog ticket at half the price of 2nd class, but no more than CHF 10.00 (dog day ticket).
- The dog day ticket as well as the SBB dog GA are valid on all scheduled boat trips.
- Dogs are allowed both inside the ship and in the ship's restaurant.
