Description
The cable car operates from Sörenberg in both summer and winter. It runs continuously every day during operating hours. The aerial tramway can carry 80 people and takes less than 10 minutes from Sörenberg to the Rothorn.
The panoramic glazing in the red cabins extends from floor to ceiling. You have a view of the surrounding mountain world with the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and up to 690 other peaks.
- Sörenberg valley station: Schönenboden at 1248 m above sea level.
- Brienzer Rothorn mountain station: at 2288 m above sea level
- Length: 2745 m
The operating times are every year from the end of May to the beginning of November and from mid-December to the end of March. During operating times, the cable car runs at intervals of around 20 minutes.
Practical information:
- Suitable for: Wheelchair users, baby carriages, dogs
- Dogs up to 30 cm at the withers in animal-friendly containers travel free of charge
- Paid parking spaces are available at the valley station
Swiss Activities Tip
The Berghaus Eisee is situated at around 1900 m above sea level below the Brienzer Rothorn. It has room for up to 60 guests in summer and winter in simple double and multi-bed rooms (don't forget your sleeping bag). Fishing is also possible at the Eisee in summer. However, the chairlift between Eisee and Brienzer Rothorn may not be used by pedestrians in winter.

Amazing place to visit. I recommend buying your ticket directly on site to avoid the service fees charged by this website (almost 10 CHF).
