Did you know that, according to legend, Saint Gallus tripped and fell into a thorn at the bottom of the valley? He saw this event as a divine sign and founded a hermitage on this spot. From this arose some time later the monastery of St. Gall and again some time later St. Gall. Today, the Mühleggbahn is located on this site.
