Culinary hike to the quadrilateral

On this 8-hour culinary hike, you’ll trek from the city of St. Gallen to the Rhine at the border of four countries. Along the way, you can enjoy stunning views over Lake Constance and the beautiful nature. During the tour, you’ll be served starter, main course, and dessert at three different top-class restaurants.

If you start at St. Gallen train station, you can take the postbus at 8:48 am to Untereggen, Hinterhof. Your hike begins from the Hinterhof bus stop. After crossing green meadows and lovely forests, you’ll stop at Restaurant Bären, where a delicious starter awaits you.

After the break, you’ll ascend to the Fünfländerblick viewpoint and the Rossbüchel inn. Here, you’ll be served a regional main course with breathtaking views of Lake Constance. From here, you can see Switzerland, Austria, as well as the former independent states of Baden, Württemberg, and Bavaria.

After descending, you’ll visit the Steiniger Tisch excursion spot. A tasty dessert awaits you here, with views over the Thaler vineyards. After this refreshment, you’ll walk to Rheineck train station. From there, you can travel home individually. The S-Bahn departs at 4:56 pm back to St. Gallen.
