A spectacular musical show for young and old Theater Liberi, known for its modern family musicals, invites the audience to rediscover Kipling’s classic in an energetic staging. Atmospheric lighting design, an imposing jungle backdrop and elaborate costumes create a world in which the musical adventure comes alive for young and old alike. The ensemble combines enjoyment in performing, emotion and wit, bringing the popular characters to life. Accompanied by completely new songs and choreography, it creates a special stage experience – sometimes astonishing, sometimes funny, always engaging. Two friends at the heart of the adventure At the centre of the story is the friendship between Mowgli and Balu. The charming bear lives by his own rules – easy-going, always in good spirits and fascinated by everything the human world has to offer. With Mowgli at his side, the two friends dive into an adventure that makes their world bigger and shows how exciting differences can be. They are supported by the calm panther Baghira, who is always in the right place at the right time. But appearances deceive: Shir Khan, proud and embittered, is waiting for his chance. Shaped by his fear of fire and his dislike of humans, he waits for his moment of revenge. Then Kaa slithers into the action – mysterious, with hypnotic powers and the advantage of knowing more than everyone else. And when the funny but cheeky vultures get involved too, chaos in the jungle is complete. Mowgli and Balu are right in the middle of it and want answers: what secret does the fire hold? Will their friendship be stronger than fear and mistrust? And what is the mysterious jungle girl all about?
