From 12 April to 22 November, the Regionalmuseum Gantrisch presents the exhibition «potztuusig plus 1!». In 2025, Schwarzenburg celebrated a very special anniversary: 1000 years of history and stories. The anniversary year has also left its mark on the museum exhibition. In the entrance area, the insights into the concerts, festivities, theatre performances, art installations and exhibitions, book launches, readings and talks of 2025 create a colourful contrast to the rather sober opening of the year of first mention almost 1000 years ago. In the attic, the 1000 portraits from the anniversary project of the same name, which already attracted great interest at the village festival, are on display until the end of the season. The Regionalmuseum Gantrisch invites you to join the exhibition «potztuusig!» on a fascinating journey through time. From the first documented clearings to the defining events of modern times, the exhibition sheds light on themes such as rule and powerlessness, the economy and poverty, as well as the stories of those who emigrated and those who stayed. With audio stations, many old and new photos, participatory elements and an object-based timeline, the past comes to life. The exhibition is not just a look back, but also an invitation to help shape Schwarzenburg’s future.
