In Ftan, the painter will exhibit watercolours and oil paintings showing various motifs from the Engadin, as well as birds and trout, which are native to the valley. After a master's at CalArts, he worked as chief curator at Gemini in LA, alongside Rauschenberg, Johns and Hockney. Since then, he has devoted himself entirely to painting, with numerous internat. awards. He paints in a traditional, academic style and sees himself more as a naturalist, inspired by his lifelong engagement with the wild landscapes of California's Sierra Nevada, as well as the Swiss Alps.
