Together, you discover the fascinating wildlife of the region on an easy hike. After a relaxed ride on the chairlift to Ramslauenen mountain station, you follow the Guggerwäg towards Lengschwendi and Alpenruh. Along the route, information boards share facts about the golden eagle, chamois, mountain hare, black grouse, Gugger (cuckoo), ibex and other animals of the hunting reserve. A special highlight is meeting a local gamekeeper, who gives exciting insights into his work and talks vividly about the native wildlife and its habitats. In this way, young and old alike learn first-hand how important protecting nature and treating it with respect really are. On the way, the children solve various tasks on their puzzle sheets and receive a small surprise in the valley. During a cosy barbecue break, everyone can recharge and enjoy the natural surroundings. Route: Ramslauenen mountain station → Alpenruh (PostBus stop) → Ramslauenen valley station Meeting point: 09:00 at Ramslauenen valley station Travel to and from: individual Hiking time: 1h 30min (return by PostBus) or 2h 30min (without PostBus, including approx. 1h extra walking) Length: 4.9 km Ascent and descent: ↑ 58 m / ↓ 323 m Highest point of the hike: 1,408 m Trail condition & difficulty: well-maintained hiking trails, easy (T1) Recommended footwear: trekking shoes Not suitable for pushchairs Bring: enough to drink, lunch from your rucksack (fire pit available), the puzzle sheet (download online in advance and print yourself) and a pen.
