In Switzerland’s first rock & pop museum, you can see thousands of original signatures and around 250 original gold and platinum awards from artists and groups. Unlike other (music) museums, the Rock- & Pop-Museum does not focus on one artist (e.g. Elvis Presley) or one group (such as the Beatles Museum in Hamburg, which closed in 2012), but on the history of popular music, starting in the early 20th century with W.C. Handy, the «Father of the Blues», and going right through to the 1980s and 1990s with Michael Jackson, R.E.M., U2 and many more! Various guided tours are offered; you can find them on the website.
