Parco San Michele
Про це місце
The park with 12‘000 square metres of green space lies in Castagnola, on the slopes of Monte Brè. It is known for its beauty and for its wonderful architectural elements: the San Michele chapel, the Rustico and some stone sculptures. Behind the San Michele chapel is the park’s main terrace. From here you can admire the Gulf of Lugano, the lakeshore and Monte San Salvatore. In the distance, you discover the Alpine peaks in different shapes and colours, glowing at sunset. On the left, the view stretches from Melide, Campione and Bissone to the Po Plain. Parco San Michele also offers rich vegetation. Its paths lead through a typical southern flora with wisteria, oleander, oaks, elms, hornbeams, ashes and laurels.
