Helen Dahm’s work is not limited to painting and prints. The current exhibition also shows textile works. In the last century, some female artists also made a name for themselves with textile work and kept up craft skills, not least for financial reasons. Alongside Helen Dahm, woven works by the textile artist Franziska Gehr are on show. As Ferdinand Gehr’s daughter, she wove many of his designs. One such work will be on display in the exhibition. The other woven wall hangings were designed and completed by Franziska Gehr. In the textile workshop specially conceived for this exhibition, you have the opportunity to get creative yourself. Plenty of material is available for knitting, embroidery, sewing or weaving.
