Camellias and magnolias

You can see around 950 species and varieties of camellias, 350 different magnolias, azaleas, peonies and rhododendrons. Among them grow ivy, pines, juniper shrubs and other partly rare European and exotic conifers. Once, the nursery gardener Otto Eisenhut created this attractive landscape garden with his valuable botanical collection. The foundation "Parco botanico del Gambarogno" now ensures the continuity of the work in the long term. Plant lovers, nature enthusiasts and other visitors need around an hour for a visit – connoisseurs will probably need a little longer for the round.
