A museum visit where children get involved and learn new things? The augmented reality adventure «Rette Lumo!» makes exactly that possible. With a tablet in hand, children aged 8 and over dive into an exciting story and explore the exhibition on their own. At the centre is the virtual anglerfish Lumo. It has fallen ill because environmental toxins have reached the water. To save it, young researchers must solve different tasks in the museum and collect ingredients for a healing potion. Along the way, they dig up fossils, help a cormorant fish, catch beetles or open a mysterious safe with a rare plant. Each station combines play, movement and knowledge. The special feature: with augmented reality, digital figures, objects and animations appear directly in the real exhibition. In this way, museum and game world merge into an experience that lets learning happen almost by the way. Puzzles and small action sequences create excitement and plenty of fun.
