In the middle of Parc des Bastions stands the imposing Reformation monument, on which the great figures of the Reformation are shown as imposing statues and reliefs. In the centre stand Jean Calvin, Guillaume Farel, Théodore de Bèze and John Knox. To the left and right, you can find figures who spread the Reformation across Europe. Carved into the wall is Geneva’s motto «Post Tenebras Lux» (after darkness, light), which is regarded as an important principle of Calvinist philosophy. At the park exit is the Place de Neuve with its many arts and cultural institutions.
