Spa cures in the land of explorers
เกี่ยวกับสถานที่นี้
Did you know that in earlier centuries north-western Switzerland drew visitors from far and wide – people who enjoyed a spa cure in a spa hotel, strolled through the picturesque landscape and sketched especially appealing views in their travel diaries? Until the outbreak of the First World War, it was by no means unusual for visitors from different countries to stay for several days or even weeks in the hinterland of the city of Basel. Through a range of documents and installations, the exhibition shows how tourism in our region developed, which clientele used to visit the land between the Jura and the Rhine, and which clientele is addressed today with which offers. There is also plenty of surprising things to discover.
