800 years of Tenniken

Om den här platsen
Tenniken is in the Diegtertal, between Zunzgen and Diegten on the A2 motorway towards Bern/Luzern or from the Mittelland towards Basel. With a small village centre that still has very old houses, a beautiful church and a loom, Tenniken still keeps a few relics from earlier times. But step by step, our place will present itself in an attractive new guise. There is already quite a bit going on behind the scenes for our anniversary in 2026 too. Tenniken will celebrate, and indeed yesterday, today and tomorrow! For yesterday, old customs and pictures are brought out again and everyone toasts the anniversary year together. This event takes place on 07 March 2026 and is for the village population of Tenniken, for homesick Tennikens and for people interested in history. We want to celebrate today with everyone. It takes place from 21 to 23 August 2026. Do come along and let the lantern light festival enchant you. Today for tomorrow is our motto for the village festival. In autumn, we think about the future, about tomorrow. The plan is to plant a tree that will provide shade for future generations. Any profit from the village festival will be handed over to the municipality for planning a new playground by the "Seematt" school building. Let us look forward to an exciting, informative, illuminating, future-investing and simply great 2026.
