Like a metronome, a clock, a heartbeat, you can always hear it when you lean close to the shop window. Because Compagnie Trottvoir is visiting and knocking in Aarau. Compagnie Trottvoir experiments with the languages of circus, theatre, music and performance. The collective – currently made up of Josef Stiller, Laurence Felber and Theresa Ehrenberg – works on socio-political themes and uses public space to enable new perspectives on our reality. Through its actions, the Compagnie approaches knocking in different ways: with a knocking concert, a corridor conversation, the recurring «Stuhltanz extended» and other formats that emerge from research on site. Compagnie Trottvoir exhibits, performs, welcomes and asks: who knocks when and where? Who gets to knock? Will you knock with us?
