Fancy some « Dolce far niente »? Enjoying a coffee or an ice cream with a superb view of Lago Maggiore, the Brissago Islands and the surrounding mountains? The piazza in Ascona with its numerous terrace cafés invites you to do just that! Wonderful panoramic path along Lago Maggiore. Following the lakeside promenade from Minusio via Muralto to Locarno, you reach the Camellia Park, in the immediate vicinity of the Maggia river. It is an easy, level route on paths that are largely reserved for pedestrians and cyclists. An ideal walk all year round, which you can also do in the opposite direction from Locarno. In the area around both starting points, which are easily reached by public transport, there are also plenty of parking spaces.
