Over deze plek
In summer 2026, it is finally happening: the first two volumes of the «Raff-Studien», the scholarly publication series of the Joachim Raff Archive at the renowned music publisher Breitkopf & Härtel, will be available in bookshops. We present the two publications together with publishing director Nick Pfefferkorn. Modesty was not really one of Joachim Raff’s core strengths. In a letter to a publisher, he described his Violin Sonata No. 1 op. 73 as «the most significant sonata since Beethoven». Let us make the comparison: Simone Zgraggen, concertmaster of the Zuger Sinfonietta, and pianist Ulrich Koella set this work against Beethoven’s famous «Kreutzer Sonata» and Clara Schumann’s Romances op. 22 in their recital. Lion Gallusser, artistic director of the Zuger Sinfonietta, introduces the programme. Registration for the apéro at: [email protected] Free admission, unreserved seating, collection
