Over deze plek

Across five rooms, around thirty paintings connected to Ticino are set in relation to works of contemporary photography, revealing connections and resonances over time between different styles and genres, from landscape to portraiture. The Alpine landscapes of Ferdinando Ramponi and Leonardo Dudreville are placed in dialogue with photographs by Balthasar Burkhard and Axel Hütte. A selection of female portraits by Antonio Rinaldi, Luigi Rossi, Edoardo Berta, Ambrogio Alciati and Filippo Boldini is paired with a photographic portrait of a young student by Rineke Dijkstra. The exhibition is completed by pastel works by Adolfo Feragutti Visconti, Giuseppe Mentessi and Pietro Chiesa, as well as Divisionist landscapes by Umberto Boccioni, presented alongside photographs by Bernd and Hilla Becher. Featured artists: Fausto Agnelli, Ambrogio Alciati, Tonatiuh Ambrosetti, Bernd & Hilla Becher, Edoardo Berta, Umberto Boccioni, Filippo Boldini, Balthasar Burkhard, Filippo Carcano, Pietro Chiesa, Rineke Dijkstra, Tommaso Donati, Leonardo Dudreville, Adolfo Feragutti Visconti, Axel Hütte, Luigi Mentessi, Ferdinando Ramponi, Antonio Rinaldi, Luigi Rossi, Loredana Sperini.
