Emil Brunner – Berg Kind Welt

The exhibition «Berg Kind Welt», curated by the Glarus photographer Fridolin Walcher in collaboration with the Swiss Foundation for Photography and realised together with the BSINTI Kultur association, runs from 20 June to 18 October 2026 on the sunny terrace of Braunwald. It is a large-scale, walkable exhibition that links Brunner’s photographic work with the landscape of Braunwald in a special way. It includes various spaces to explore: in the Bsinti exhibition space for alpine photography, image documents from Brunner’s work as a travelling photo reporter and mountaineer are presented, while along the walking paths 30 stations with moving children’s portraits give an insight into everyday childhood in 1943/44. The experience is rounded off by image and audio stations in six barns, which invite you to delve deeper into the social reality of mountain families. The former school building in Braunwald opens its doors and becomes a participatory space that enables exchange between generations.
