Local Museum Walenstadt

The local museum is dedicated to the history of Walenstadt. Alongside documents from the town, you can see images of notable personalities. The Sarganserland-Walensee transport route and the use of hydropower at the Widenbach are clearly presented. Special exhibits include the original masks of the Gemeinderölli of Walenstadt and the wooden masks from Berschis. Opening hours: 1st Saturday of every month: from 10.00 - 11. 00. At 10.00, guided tour of the local museum, with a town walk if you are interested. Registration for guided tours outside this time slot is possible by mail.
