CULINARY FILM NIGHT ONE LIFE SAVE ONE LIFE, SAVE THE WORLD One Life is a British biographical drama film from 2023 directed by James Hawes. The film tells the true story of the British humanitarian Nicholas Winton, who saved hundreds of Jewish children during the Second World War from the Holocaust. The title role is played by Anthony Hopkins. The film moves between the late 1930s and the 1980s. It shows the young Nicholas Winton (Johnny Flynn), who saves hundreds of children from the Nazi occupation in Prague, and the older Winton (Anthony Hopkins), who is confronted with his past decades later. One Life explores moral responsibility, civil courage and the personal burden of survivor’s guilt.
