What remains of a moment once time has passed? With her exhibition, Moni Schmid invites you to explore this question. Her paintings hold memories, moods, longings and fleeting moments. In her animal paintings, they find expression. The old Wöschhüsli becomes part of the exhibition itself. Antique newspaper clippings, small found objects and interactive elements connect past and present and create space for your own thoughts and memories. For more than twenty years, painting has accompanied Moni Schmid. At a crossroads in her life, a creative passion became a deep bond that still sustains her today. Many of her pictures begin not on the canvas, but outdoors: with a special light, a mood or an encounter with an animal. In the studio, new visual worlds grow from this layer by layer. The exhibition is not only a place to look. It invites you to pause, to reflect on your own memories and, between reality and memory, perhaps to discover something that cannot be put into words.
