In Dialogue - Fortifications: relic or future?

Sibylle Marti is an assistant professor of modern history and contemporary history at the University of Bern and researches, among other things, the cultural history of the Cold War and Switzerland in the 20th century. At the Salzmagazin, she explores with Cyrill Willi (head of mediation at Nidwaldner Museum) how fortifications are perceived, using the fort of Fürigen as an example – from its importance in the Cold War to its place today. On dialogic tours through our permanent and temporary exhibitions, we address interdisciplinary questions on selected themes and objects with experts. The tours take place on Wednesday evenings; they start at 18:30 and last about 60 minutes.
