Description

Experience the unique feeling of gliding through fresh powder snow on untouched slopes and discovering hidden runs. With the personalized guidance of an experienced guide, you can specifically improve your off-piste technique and gain even more confidence.

The versatile freeride terrain of Verbier offers numerous challenges and experiences for advanced skiers. Far away from groomed slopes, you can feel the freedom and adventure in unspoiled nature.

Three beautiful freeride routes in the ski area:

  • The freeride route Mont Gelé offers an exceptionally beautiful view of Les Attelas and the lake. It is located in the heart of the Verbier 4 Vallées ski area. You can reach it by cable car up to 3023 m above sea level and have the choice between two official routes: The Grande Journée goes over the eastern slope towards Tortin. Via the southern slope, you can alternatively reach La Chaux and the alpine hut Cabane Mont-Fort.

  • Chassoure Tortin is an off-piste route known for its moguls, steep slopes, and powder opportunities. It runs below the cable car and is considered one of the toughest routes in the 4 Vallées.

  • At Col des Gentianes, you have access to the longest mogul run in Europe. It also leads down to Tortin. You can reach it via the Jumbo and Mont-Fort cable cars at an altitude of 2950 m above sea level.

Level

This course is aimed at skiers of levels 6 and 7:

Level 6: Advanced: You master red slopes with confidence, regardless of the conditions, and also excel on most black runs. You want to further develop your technique in carving, off-piste, or mogul skiing.

Level 7: Expert: You navigate black slopes and challenging routes with ease. You are working on your speed and technique in carving, mogul runs, or deep snow. You refine jumps and tricks in the freestyle park.
