About this place

After a welcome and a small snack, you are introduced to the rich world of Schützengarten beers and learn important facts and stories about brewing and beer in general. During the brewing, you get hands-on yourself (mashing in, stirring, resting, lautering). While the wort is boiling and the hops are added, a brewer’s meal is served. Then it moves on to the second part with the production steps in the whirlpool, the addition of yeast and filling into the fermentation cask. The sommelier introduces you to flavour profiling and explains which dishes pair particularly well with the various beer styles. The event rounds off with a small platter of snacks. Five weeks later, you can collect approx. three 33 cl bottles of your own beer at Getränkemarkt St. Gallen.
