The art zone in the Lokremise, the Kunstmuseum’s second «Spielstätte», serves as a cultural laboratory for contemporary art. It is part of the Lokremise cultural centre, opened in 2010 by the canton of St.Gallen. Its immediate proximity to Kinok and Tanz/Theater opens up fascinating synergies in content, while the raw character of the interior space allows process-led exhibitions and «Artist-in-Residence» projects.
