Built in the early 13th century, enlarged in the mid-13th century, mentioned in 1254, seat of the meier. After damage in 1415, it was remodelled in 1475, then became private property after 1804, owned by the municipality from 1934, restored in 1937/38, 1958, 1988-91. (Source: Buergenverein.ch)
