The classic is the popular old town market in Zug, which takes place every Saturday. It is a weekly market with fresh vegetables from the region, seasonal fruit, as well as cheese and flowers from the surrounding area. Another attraction is the «Chriesimärt», the cherry market. Zug is known for its cherries, and the market is well attended for 3 to 5 weeks in June, July or even August (depending on when the cherries ripen), from Monday to Friday.
