About this place

The museum's rare exhibits come from Central Africa, home to Hamitic and Bantu peoples, from southern Africa and from Madagascar. Some objects can be dated back to the 19th century. The museum focuses on masks and fetishes worshipped by some indigenous peoples in Africa, as they are believed to have supernatural powers. Alongside ritual objects, taxidermied animals and everyday items, African art objects and contemporary works are also on display. Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8:30 - 11:30 and 14:00 - 17:00 Saturday and Sunday on request, tel. 041 711 04 17 Admission - donation
