About this swimming area
On a total area of 37'573 m2, Solothurn outdoor swimming pool is set in an idyllic location with views of the Jura chain, with several sunbathing lawns and directly on the northern bank of the Aare. Bathers can choose between a 50 m swimming pool with diving pit and 10 m diving tower (sports pool), the "Männerbad" with a 25 m pool and a small diving pit, a non-swimmers' pool and direct access to the Aare via several footbridges. Of course, there is also a spacious children's paddling pool with a 70 m giant slide and various attractions and surprises, water play equipment, rocking animals, sandpit, etc. The outdoor pool is also equipped for bathers with disabilities. There are also sports activities on offer outside the water: beach volleyball, football, badminton, 2 table tennis tables, giant chess, streetball.
