Description
On this tour, the extreme sport of ice climbing awaits you. An experienced mountain guide accompanies you while climbing over frozen waterfalls and ice-covered rock faces in the middle of a fairytale ice landscape. Adrenaline, thrills and adventure are guaranteed
You will meet your mountain guide and other participants at 08:20 at the Matterhorn Express valley station in Zermatt. For this tour you need the appropriate equipment. You can either bring it yourself or rent it
From the valley station of the Matterhorn Express you will drive to Furi. From there you hike for about 15 minutes directly to the fabulous ice climbing area. Depending on the conditions you climb in one of the three areas Blatten, Furri or Schweigmatten.
A fairytale ice landscape and a very special thrill await you here. With your own muscle power you climb the vertical ice of frozen waterfalls and ice-covered rock faces. Equipped with ice axes and steel spikes on your shoes, you will conquer gravity during 2-3 hours of ice climbing. Your mountain guide will show you exactly what to look out for and how to climb on the ice.
After the ice climbing you will drive back to Zermatt together. In the early afternoon the tour ends in Zermatt and you can reminisce about this unforgettable trip
