Description
The Igloo Village Gstaad is located at 2000 m above sea level and offers a beautiful view of the mountain landscape of the Bernese Oberland. You walk about 5 minutes from the mountain station of the Saanerslochgrat cable car to reach the Igloo Village.
A table in the igloo is reserved for you. At the table, a cheese fondue made with regional mountain cheese is served. A guided tour of the igloo is also included. Temperatures inside the igloo remain consistently around freezing point.
Arrival
By train
- Take the train to Saanenmöser station
- About a 5-minute walk to the valley station of the Saanenmöser-Saanerslochgrat cable car
By car
- Follow the signs to the station at the entrance of the village of Saanenmöser
- Drive past the station on Bahnhofstrasse, then turn left and pass under the railway tracks to reach the parking lot.
By mountain railway (Saanenmöser-Saanerslochgrat)
- Ride up to the Saanerslochgrat mountain station (stay on board at the intermediate station)
- Tickets can be purchased at the valley station. Standard ticket prices apply.
The Saanerslochgrat railway takes about 30 minutes to reach the top.
