Description

The tour departs from Chur station Monday to Saturday at 9:30 AM and Sundays at 10:00 AM. You'll travel through five charming wine-growing villages, stunning vineyards, and along the Rhine route.

On the loop, you'll stop at three different restaurants. You'll enjoy a delicious starter and main course in idyllic vineyard villages along the way. A dessert awaits you back in Chur at Café Arcas, located in the heart of the picturesque old town.

The route takes you through: Chur - Fürstenwald - Trimmis - Zizers - Igis - Landquart - Rhine route - Haldenstein - Chur.

Along the loop, you'll pass beautiful vineyards around Trimmis and Zizers. You'll ride past Marschlins Castle heading towards the Landquart riverside. On the return trip, you follow the well-known Rhine route back to Chur. In Haldenstein, you cross the Alpine Rhine and continue along the Plessur towards the old town. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

The round tour ends in Chur with dessert at Café Arcas. On Mondays, dessert is served at Café Zschaler.

  • Paid parking available at Chur station (parking garage: Gürtelstrasse 48, 7000 Chur)
  • Please stick to the departure times; the main course orders must be placed by 1:15 PM.

Swiss Activities Tip

If you enjoyed culinary delights on this tour, you definitely shouldn’t miss Bühler’s Zuckerbäckerei. It’s Chur’s oldest bakery, patisserie, and confectionery. A real treat is the Bündner Pfirsichsteine, which you can only find at Bühler’s Zuckerbäckerei. You’ll also find many other delicious local Bündner specialties to snack on.
