Chapel Bridge

The Chapel Bridge is a covered wooden bridge dating from the 14th century, crossing the Reuss at an angle and forming Lucerne’s landmark together with the Water Tower. Painted panels depicting the history of the city and Switzerland hang in the gables; some were lost in the 1993 fire.
