Description

Switzerland is world-famous for its charming cities and its culinary specialties. This day trip lets you experience both. You'll explore Switzerland’s beautiful capital on a guided city tour.

Culinary highlights include tastings at Kambly and at the Emmentaler cheese dairy. This day trip is perfect for food lovers and city explorers as well as nature enthusiasts and those who like to relax.

The guided day trip starts in Lucerne, where you board a modern minibus. The coach takes you through the Entlebuch region—the first UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Switzerland—on the way to Bern. While enjoying the stunning natural scenery from the coach, your guide will explain the traditions of the local farming community.

The first stop on this day trip is the Kambly Experience World. Here you can taste the famous Bretzeli, a renowned Swiss baked specialty. After indulging your palate with this traditional Swiss sugar biscuit, the journey continues to Bern.

Switzerland’s capital offers plenty of sights to see. Your guide will share the city’s history and interesting facts about Bern’s buildings and alleys. You then have enough time to explore Bern on your own. A lunch at one of the many restaurants is highly recommended.

Recharged after lunch, you’ll continue by coach towards the Emmental region. At the cheese dairy, you can watch firsthand how the world-famous Emmental cheese is made. Of course, you’ll also get to taste it yourself.

After visiting the cheese dairy, you’ll stop by a nearby farm. Here you can observe cows grazing on the green hills, producing the main ingredient of the cheese. In the afternoon, you’ll return by minibus to Lucerne.
