Description
The Bernese Oberland is known as a cross-country skiing paradise. Grindelwald is particularly suitable for beginners, but advanced skiers will also get their money's worth. On the trail, you can practise the movements of cross-country skiing under professional guidance. While you're concentrating, don't forget to take a look at the surrounding snow-capped peaks - the view is breathtaking.
You decide for yourself whether you want to train in classic or skating style:
- Classic cross-country skiing is the traditional Nordic discipline of cross-country skiing. The diagonal running technique is reminiscent of hiking on skis. Classic cross-country skiing is the easiest discipline for beginners to learn.
- Skating** has its origins in Nordic skiing and is very popular because of its sporting appeal. You make a V-shaped movement with your legs - similar to inline skating.
