Niederwil
Niederwil is located near Lenzburg in the region of Aargau. The village stretches along the left bank of the Reuss River and belongs to the district of Bremgarten. Cultural assets worthy of protection include the Catholic St Martin's Church and the former Cistercian monastery Gnadenthal. The church was built at the latest in the 11th century on the ruins of a Roman estate. The monastery was built at the end of the 13th century on the banks of the Reuss River and was a place of pilgrimage for a long time. Today it houses a museum and a nursing home for dementia patients with its own zoo. Finds from the Neolithic period have been discovered in the area. There are also burial mounds from the Bronze Age

“It was a fabulous day starting with a boat trip up the lake to Vitznau, then stepping onto the train up to Rigi Kaltbad. The mineral baths were totally relaxing, from the bubble pools to the stunning outdoor views, plus the herbal steam room, mineral pool tranquility and sauna. A truly sensational day.”
“It was a really exciting and varied tour where you learned a lot about the prominent Winterthur families. I also loved some unexpected facts about trees.”
